It's that time of the year again when monarchies from around their world share their annual Christmas card photo. King Charles and Queen Camilla were one of the first to release their card and the couple opted for a sentimental picture.

Their Majesties chose their 20th wedding anniversary portrait, taken by royal photographer Chris Jackson, in the grounds of Villa Wolkonsky, the British ambassador's residence in Rome, in April earlier this year.

The Prince and Princess of Wales's offering over the years has varied over the years - from a sleek black and white studio shoot of the fivesome in 2023 to a snap of the family on holiday in Jordan in 2021.

This year, the couple chose a springtime portrait, showing William and Kate cuddling their three smiling children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, as they sat on the grass, surrounded by daffodils, in Norfolk.

Meanwhile, royals such as the Monegasque and the Belgians often release glamorous, festive photoshoots, with Princess Charlene wowing in a metallic knitted dress from Ralph Lauren.

Take a look at all of the royals' Christmas cards from around the world…

The King and Queen's message inside their card read: "Wishing you a very Happy Christmas and New Year". It is usually sent out to family, friends, world leaders, diplomats, charities and organisations. The image shows Camilla wearing a white and beige coat dress by Anna Valentine and a lily of the valley brooch, while the King is dressed in a blue pinstripe suit with a grey tie and a silk handkerchief in his chest pocket.

The image, released on Kensington Palace's social media, shows William and Kate sitting on the grass amid spring daffodils surrounded by their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

Charlotte, ten, is seen resting her head on her father's shoulder and holding onto his arm, a relaxed Louis is leaning back sitting between William's legs, and Kate has her arm around George.

The post read: "Wishing everyone a very Happy Christmas."

The family snapshot was taken by photographer Josh Shinner in Norfolk in April.

It appeared to be the same photoshoot used to capture portraits for George's 12th and Louis' seventh birthdays.

The Spanish royals all posed together for their annual Christmas card, with the family-of-four taking the photo in the Asturian town of Valdesoto. The choice of location is to reference their recognition of small municipalities and agricultural settings. The left-hand side of the card read: "Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2026," while the right-hand side said: "With all our affection and best wishes".

The family also released a second card, featuring their five dogs in front of a Christmas tree. The photo was snapped at Queen Sofia's residence of Zarzuela Palace.
